Most of the work I prioritise has a systems change element. One recent example of this is the collaborative film and research project Beans on Screen. Over the course of summer 2025, myself and colleagues from Take One Action worked with residents from Easterhouse to explore local food justice and how it’s connected with global struggles and climate crisis. We worked with local venue Platform, FARE allotments, Growing 21 and food charity Nourish to run a series of events, funded by the Royal Society of Edinburgh - from a Living Table facilitated by artist Desiree Coral to allotment tours and cooking sessions, culminating in a short film, Team Bean, directed by Saoirse Amira Anis.

We’re now exploring funding options to continue working together as a group! I am also, with Take One Action, part of the capacity building phase for the Regenerative Futures Fund in Edinburgh, which is looking at long-term funding of systems change work, especially around poverty, anti-racism and the climate emergency.
